Tips on preventing the wires from breaking

The most common used tying material is the steel wire. The steel wires have high rigidity and durability, and these features makes the steel wire the most widely used tying material among all. And correspondingly, the cost of the steel wires is higher than other types of the tying materials like PP straps. But even the steel wires have such a high rigidity, but it can still break down under the unproper treatment. The breaking of the steel wires not only block the production of bales and lower the efficiency but also increase the cost of the whole recycling process. So, we need to take actions to stop the wires from breaking and further saving the cost.

Useful tips
1. A correct diameter of the steel wires

As we all know the rigidity of the steel wires is closely related to the diameter of the steel wires. The larger diameter you have the more rigidity you have which means you need to choose a correct diameter of the steel wires depend on the materials you bale. If you are baling the high rebound materials then choose a big diameter steel wires to tie the bales.

2. A match baling machine

Different types of baling machines need different wires; you need to check the wires whether can be used in this baling machine before you buying the wires or the baling machines.

3. Be careful in the transportation

No matter what rigidity and diameter of the steel wires, don’t drag or lifting the bales by pulling the wires. This kind of unproper transfer movements will get the wires in an unevenly stressed situation which will easily make the wires breaking.

4. Away from water

Last but not least, keep the perfectly tied bales away from the water or the rain. Once the steel wires are rusted, the rigidity is straightly going down. And sometimes, the baled materials also need to be away from the water.
